Polish ski-jumpers second in Vikersund

Polish ski-jumpers on Saturday came second in the team event at a World Cup competition in Vikersund, Norway.

The hosts came first and Austria third.
The competition saw two world records being broken as Norway’s Robert Johansson soared 252 metres, and then Austria’s Stefan Kraft, the best jumper in the competition, bettered that by one-and-a-half metres .
Piotr Żyła set a new Polish record of 245.5m, while his countryman Maciej Kot produced a personal best of 244.5m and Kamil Stoch set a new personal record of 243m.
In the Raw Air standings, Germany’s Andreas Wellinger maintained his lead, with Kraft on his heels and Poland's Stoch moving up to third.
